Special Education & IEP/504 Advocacy

Navigating the world of special education can feel overwhelming! You don’t have to do it alone. Our Special Education Advocates help families understand, navigate, and strengthen your child’s educational support plan.

Our advocates review documents such as the Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan to ensure they meet legal standards and truly reflect the student’s needs. With expertise in special education law and practice, our advocates work alongside families to ensure students receive the right accommodations and services.

Our process:

Intake Appointment:

We start with an in-depth meeting to understand your child’s unique needs, educational history, and goals. This helps us identify where support or advocacy may be needed within their school plan.

Reviews Documents:

We review IEPs, 504 plans, report cards, progress notes, and any outside evaluations or testing. Our goal is to ensure all documentation reflects your child’s strengths, challenges, and legal rights to support.

Provide Recommendations:

After reviewing all materials, we meet again to share our findings and provide clear, actionable next steps — including specific language and requests you can use when communicating with the school team.

Office Meeting

Attend Meetings:

We can join school meetings (with teachers, coordinators, social workers, or psychologists) to help present your child’s needs, request appropriate services, and ensure the IEP or 504 plan is accurate and effective.

Our team remains available for ongoing support, reviewing updates, attending future meetings, and helping you navigate any changes to your child’s plan or services over time.
