Cassandra Lester

Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Therapist

B.A. in Psychology
M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Current Student

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Loyola University Chicago. The most important thing to me is to create an open, safe space where clients feel comfortable to be their authentic selves. In my past professional experiences, I have worked in schools as an intervention specialist, substitute teacher, and as an after-care teacher. I am devoted to helping individuals of all ages through their hardships or just be the person they can count on to be kind to them.

Through my work experience, school experience, and personal experience with therapy, I have found that the three most important things to the therapeutic relationship are trust, comfortability, and feeling listened to. I strive to create an environment in which my clients feel safe, comfortable, and heard. My vow to you is that I will listen with an open heart and mind.

My Focus: Anxiety, Self-Esteem, Emotional Regulation & Executive Functioning
