Master in Comforting
Cleo is a two-year-old English Cream retriever and a beloved part of Main Street Counseling Solutions. She brings warmth, steadiness, and quiet reassurance to the therapy space simply by being herself. Clients often find comfort in sitting with her, petting her soft fur, or having her nearby as they talk, reflect, and work through life’s challenges. Her calm, gentle nature helps adults, teens, and children feel more grounded, supported, and safe.
Cleo also plays an important role with clients who are nervous around dogs. With patience, slow movements, and a friendly, peaceful demeanor, she can participate in thoughtfully guided exposure experiences at a pace that feels comfortable. Many clients appreciate the opportunity to build confidence with a dog who is relaxed, predictable, and deeply attuned to people.
You’ll often recognize Cleo by her seasonal bandanas, which add a bit of joy and personality to the office. When she’s “off duty,” she loves napping, carrying around her fluffy hedgehog toy, and happily chasing a tennis ball like it’s the most important job in the world.
Cleo doesn’t say much, but her presence speaks volumes: compassion, comfort, acceptance, and a reminder that it’s okay to breathe and feel safe here.
