With more than 34 years of experience as a psychologist, I feel privileged to have spent my career helping people navigate some of life’s most difficult and meaningful moments. I believe that reaching out for support is a sign of strength, and I strive to create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where every person feels heard, respected, and understood.
As a Spanish-speaking psychologist of Hispanic background, I have a deep appreciation for the ways that culture, family, language, and life experiences shape who we are. I enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and believe that therapy should honor each person’s unique story, values, and experiences.
I have a particular passion for helping individuals who are struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), self-esteem, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and women’s mental health concerns. My goal is not simply to help people manage their symptoms, but to help them better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and develop tools that can lead to
meaningful and lasting change.
My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, exposure therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and culturally sensitive practices. I also provide psychological testing and evaluations when appropriate. I believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, and I work together with each client to find what feels most helpful for them.
My commitment to helping others extends beyond my professional practice. I have volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), advocating for the well-being of children and families. Experiences like this have reinforced my belief in the importance of compassion, advocacy, and having someone in your corner during challenging times.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading and crafting. These interests give me opportunities to slow down, be creative, and recharge.
Most importantly, I want my clients to know that they do not have to go through difficult times alone. I am honored to walk alongside them, offering support, understanding, and encouragement as they work toward greater emotional well-being and a life that feels more fulfilling.
My focus: ADHD, Anxiety, Intellectual Disabilities, Trauma, Psychological testing, Depression, Social Challenges, Behavior Management
