Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Therapist
B.A. in Clinical Psychology, minor in Child Health & Well-being
M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, current student
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Child Health and Well-Being from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at DePaul University.
My professional interests center on working alongside children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate the complexities of what it means to be a person. I am passionate about exploring self-esteem, grief/loss, school related issues, life transitions, and anxiety.
I strive to create a warm and supportive space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, exploring what’s been challenging, and discovering what is possible. I work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that honor the client’s needs, values, and hopes for the future. I believe change begins with a genuine and empathetic therapeutic relationship that centers on a client’s strengths and fosters the resilience they already carry within.
Before beginning my path in counseling, I worked as a substitute teacher with elementary and middle school aged students, an experience that deepened my appreciation for the unique ways young people learn, grow, and make sense of the world around them. I also have experience with mindfulness meditation, which has further shaped my interest in supporting individuals through greater self-awareness, presence, and compassion
