As a licensed professional counselor, I specialize in working with young children and teens who are navigating ADHD, oppositional behaviors, avoidance-based anxiety, and performance challenges. These struggles don’t exist in isolation and they impact family systems, school dynamics, and peer relationships. That’s why I approach treatment through a systemic lens, working not just with the individual, but with the people and environments that shape their daily lives. Research shows that this kind of collaborative, systems-based approach is the most effective path forward. I’ve seen it transform families firsthand.
Before entering private practice, I trained at Lurie Children’s Hospital in both the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and the Partial Hospitalization Program. Those experiences deeply shaped how I work today: with structure, compassion, and an understanding that behavior is always communication. I focus on helping kids build skills in emotional regulation, flexibility, and follow through, while also equipping caregivers and support systems with tools to reduce power struggles, increase connection, and promote lasting growth.
Outside the therapy office, I’m a dedicated mental health advocate who believes in meeting teens where they are, often online. My work has been featured in The New York Times, Good Morning America, Counseling Today, and I’ve given a TEDx Talk titled “Investing in Your Mental Health.” Most recently, I was invited to collaborate with Harvard University's Public Mental Health School. I continue to collaborate on one of their research projects HappyB 2.0. This study is led by Harvard university and funded by the NIH. It aims to understand how social media use is related to teen well-being, including loneliness and happiness.
In addition to my clinical work, I bring a unique lens to working with athletes. As a business owner and competitive cheer coach, I understand the pressures of performance and perfectionism. I help student-athletes manage anxiety, build resilience, and stay mentally strong in both sport and life.
